Another busy week as an Assembly Member.

Richmond

I attended the Assembly’s Holocaust Memorial Day ceremony and heard some incredibly moving testimonies, especially from Steven Frank BEM, a Holocaust survivor who spoke about his harrowing experiences.

We scrutinised the Mayor’s draft Budget on Wednesday; I pushed for more cooperation and co-location between our emergency services. Unfortunately the Conservative Group’s budget motion - condemning the Mayor’s hiking of council tax and plans to impose yet more driving charges - was not passed.

It was good to join Gareth Bacon MP in Bromley for a fascinating housing policy forum event - lots of interesting ideas from local members.

I rounded off the week by joining our fab team in Mortlake & Barnes Common on the campaign trail.

Looking forward to another great week serving our beautiful city!

Another great week as the Assembly Member for South West London!

Sunday, 27 March, 2022

We’re into the pre-election period now ahead of local elections, meaning that there are no formal Assembly meetings until May. So I will be stopping these regular updates for now and will pick them back up after the elections. I’m still of course contactable and fulfilling my duties as an AM!
